The Feldbinder founders are retiring.

On a sunny day, Otto Feldbinder and Jan-Dirk Beckmann bid farewell to their employees on June 8, 2018. The festive company celebration in Winsen (Luhe) marked the official handover of leadership. Around 450 current employees, along with many former colleagues, attended the event.

Upon arrival, the founders were greeted by a 6-meter-long banner expressing the staff's gratitude for 43 successful years. This appreciation was echoed in various speeches. After a historical overview from former plant manager Wilhelm Beyland and heartfelt words from former works council chairman André Schlüter, Dirk Feldbinder, on behalf of the management, officially retired his father and Jan-Dirk Beckmann with a certificate and a commemorative gift.

Since April 1, the Feldbinder Spezialfahrzeugwerke GmbH has been led by Dirk Feldbinder, Olaf Feldbinder, Dr. Nina Lorea Kley, and Wolf-Dietrich Kley. In his farewell speech, new CEO Dirk Feldbinder emphasized the commitment to continue the company's philosophy under modern perspectives.

The founders also expressed their gratitude to the employees, reflecting on their beginnings. Jan-Dirk Beckmann proudly recounted milestones and success stories, as well as challenges they overcame together. With revolutionary ideas, determination, and the support of their team, Feldbinder has grown to become one of Europe's leading producers of silo and tank vehicles. The motto "lightest utility vehicles with maximum volume and long lifespan" will continue to guide the company's future.

Jan-Dirk Beckmann and Otto Feldbinder were visibly moved on this significant day, with some tears likely shed, particularly due to an oversized photo of the two entrepreneurs and the heartfelt words from the staff. After the official part and a group photo, everyone toasted with freshly tapped beer, a welcome treat on that hot summer day. Attendees also enjoyed grilled delights and delicious salads.

Dr. Nina Lorea Kley later remarked, "Our fathers went home deeply happy and fulfilled, truly entering retirement. It's gratifying for everyone to see that what they dedicated their focus, energy, and passion to throughout their lives has developed so splendidly. What we've built together over the decades is remarkable."
