Feldbinder plans second in-house training workshop

Following the successful launch of the training workshop at the Winsen (Luhe) site, a place of practical learning is also planned for the Wittenberg site in August 2021. With great commitment and drive, an in-house training workshop will be set up at the Wittenberg site in the coming months. The manufacture of our customized products is very complex. Every move has to be right and manual dexterity is essential. This is precisely where the training workshop comes in, creating an ideal environment for learning basic skills such as scribing, sawing, filing, punching and drilling. In addition, the skilled workers of tomorrow receive the Feldbinder DNA and knowledge beyond the training framework from day one. After all, the processing of stainless steel and aluminum, which are the materials used in the production of our vehicles, is only a small part of the training plan in the dual training program for construction mechanics (m/f/d) and metal technology specialists (m/f/d).

The training workshop in Wittenberg will be set up in an existing building, which is currently the headquarters of the welding supervisor. This is the ideal location as there is a short connection to the welding training. This is where the trainees will take their welding certificates in the subsequent years of training. In order to prepare the first year of training for welding, a virtual welding simulator with VR glasses is used in the training workshop. This allows the trainees to learn how to weld safely and effectively.

By setting up the training center in Winsen in the summer of 2020, Feldbinder proved that even in times of coronavirus, the company is not cutting corners when it comes to training future specialists. Robert Lange, trainer for industrial training at Feldbinder, is certain that the training workshops will provide our new apprentices with an optimal start to their training and prepare them for their work in the various specialist areas right from the start. The training workshops are also used for exam preparation, training courses and for completing the crane certificate.
